Argus Glasses
Introduction:
I. For centuries, the blind have been confined to a world that is vastly different from that of those who see. In California itself we have over 701,400 blind individuals that were seeking treatment before this device came out, but they never got any. According to Engineering.com 3D Printing, a news and commentary website for professionals, August 8th, 2013. There is a device, said to be the world's first approved unit intended to restore some functional vision for people suffering from blindness due to outer retinal degenerations, works by converting video images captured by a miniature camera in the patient's glasses into a series of electrical pulses.
II. In the next few minutes I’m going to tell you about this new discovery the Argus glasses, and how it helped many of the blind to get their sight back.
III. Argues, a device that helped the blind to gain their sight again, it gave them their vision back. Before they didn’t have a chance to gain there sight back, but Argues made them see again.
A. For many years all the experiments and technology that scientists have been trying to improve in order to give the blind their sight back had failed, therefore; the Argus glasses are greatly needed.

C. The Argus is a device that allows the blind to see once more. Many devices before argues had failed to bring to the blind their sight back while with the Argus II system the blind can receive signal that will make them see again. About one in 4,000 people in the United States are losing their vision every year without any hope to get back, but with the Argus glasses they are guaranteed to see again.
D. We have all encountered at least one blind person in our life whether it was a family member, or one of our classmates at school with the Argues glasses now those blind people can finally see what we can see and enjoy life.
IV. In order to make you familiar with the Argus glasses, I’m going to talk about how the blind had no hope before it, explain the change that the Argus glasses made, and tell you about some pros and cons for this device.

I. To get you caught up with the Argus glasses and its importance, I’m going to tell you about what was going on before this invention, how it helped the blind
A. For centuries the blind had no hope of getting their sight back, I’m going to tell you about how this fabulous invention made a difference in a lot of people’s lives.
1. My uncle Luca is now blind. He lost his vision when he turned 48. Ever since then he considered himself a burden on his family although they loved him, tried their best to make him feel comfortable with his disability. Last year he got the Argus glasses and they helped him a lot to restore his vision.

a. Many of the devices that came out before the Argus glasses were useless and couldn’t transmit the same signal and clarity that the Argus glasses can transmit.
b. The device allows people with a certain type of blindness to detect crosswalks on the street, the presence of people or cars, and sometimes even large numbers or letters.
