Reflection
For the past two weeks in GPS 120, our class has been playing a role play game. Each student would take on a persona of an ancient athenian and participate in the game. Each student is a different person meaning they have different objectives during the game. Whether the object would be to save socrates, find power through the assembly, or have a play produced. Everyone was someone different and wanted to achieve something through the game. During the game many rules can be brought to the assembly and change how the players play the game. So players have to adjust new situations on the spot and be prepared to debate. The game was meant for us to learn more about Athens history and how the assembly worked in the past. I Believe the game helped a lot with having students socialize with each and become more comfortable in the class.
