Summary:
With the heightened risk of obesity in people throughout the world, it’s important to analyze if there are techniques to increase energy expenditure. This study sought out to identify if the combination of strength training (ST) and aerobic training (AT) results in changes of body composition and energy expenditure both during and post-exercise. The method of attaining this information was a systemic review of the literature to find both the acute and chronic effects the are derived from the combination. Once the review was completed, it used an inclusion criterion that gave chronic studies the objective to analyzing morphological changes, and for acute studies the objective to look at changes in energy expenditure.
