The Primary Care Clinic
Many important factors go into play when running a healthcare organization. I plan to discuss some of the key components that have influenced the development of this health care facility. The clinic mission statement will be stated and addressed to clear up any confusion. I plan to identify the three performance measures I would use to measure the clinic’s effectiveness and provide the rationale for each performance measure. I will also explain ways in which I will approach the decisions on expansions. One way that I would approach making the decision to expand would be to take a good look at the long-range projection plan. This plan is an ongoing projection of financial position showing earnings, debt and capitalization for at least the next seven years. Before making a major decision such as expansion we need to have some idea of where we will be in the following years. I would also take into consideration the demand for the clinic expansion, meaning is their enough business to warrant the expansion and is there enough people to staff the new expansion. The new expansion will cost a lot of money and the cost of paying the staff to run it is going to be huge. We would need to make sure that it will fit into the budget before going ahead with the project. An environmental assessment should be performed to determine if it is in the communities’ best interest at this current time.
