Over the years, there have been many bumps in the road for my family that have caused me to be a save my money. When I was around the age of thirteen, my mom who is a school nurse did not have a job lined up for herself after summer. Along with my mom being worried about finding a job, my dad was unsure if his job was going to keep him or not after working there for thirty years. Because of my parents situation, I would hear my parents argue about finances which was not enjoyable. From experiences like this, I think saving a portion of your money is very important in order to prepare for unexpected situations like this. However, from these experiences I also learned that it is important to give, because despite the financial hardships my parents faced, they still were willing to give to others in need. Through their financial hardships they trusted in God that he would provide and He did. From my parents, I have learned that it is not about being comfortable or hoarding your money but to give generously while being smart with where your money
