Halina Frydman was taken to the hospital after her husband recognized something was wrong. Halina was having trouble concentrating and she could not tell her husband what book she was reading while it was still in her hands. The doctors found a tumor located in her brain and later she was diagnosed with primary central nervous system lymphoma. She decided to undergo with full brain radiation, which held the possibility of her losing some of the healthy cells in her brain. Halina Frydman was concerned about not being able to return to her normal life, specifically her work, but she also wanted to give herself the best chance. While staying open-minded about her treatment, she came out in complete remission and her basic functionality was restored.
