I liked how he used quotes from Professor Wilson and description to catch my attention and keep me interested throughout the essay. They both revealed his ideas and emotions about his plans and passions about this “Dumpster Project.” Hamblin’s perspective on this situation made me think about what I can do to decrease my carbon footprint and protect the earth. I felt that Professor Wilson had an idea, and used it to help society. I thought his idea to make a public spectacle to raise awareness for an environmental issue was genius. I enjoyed the way Hamblin presented Professor Wilson; it made me feel like I personally knew this instructor. Although Hamblin included the technical details of the project, his use of humorous situations lightened the tone and held my attention throughout the profile. I also liked Professor Wilson’s carefree attitude about himself he suggested in his interview, showing he is concerned more about the environment than himself. In addition, I thought that his attempt to teach both college and public school students reflected his desire to make his dream of a cleaner future come to pass. Furthermore, I enjoyed Professor Wilson’s motivation and drive to achieve even greater things in his future.
