Hannah Earnshaw is a PhD student in astronomy at Durham University. She is a part of a group called The Mars One mission. It consists of a large group of individuals who believe there is life on mars and are wanting to live there. The Mars One mission aims to send individuals to live on the red planet. It has been described as a suicidal mission which is likely to fail but nonetheless over 200,000 individuals are wanting to take part. Hannah stated that the reason why she wants to go to Mars is that Human space exploration has always interested her so the opportunity to be one of the people involved was really appealing to her.
