During the 1850s, the arguments between the North and the South played a major role that leads to the seceding of the South. I don’t believe either side understood each other when they decided to retaliate each other with words. There were many books and pamphlets published during this period to make arguments and defend themselves. The whole dispute were mainly about slavery. The South ridicules the North by saying that the Northern workers are in worst conditions than the slaves in South. The North's view of the South is consisted of Southerner slave owners mistreating, raping and beating the slaves and having no consideration for them.
