The final woman who has affected America’s history by overcoming slavery in the 1800’s was Harriet Tubman. Tubman is one of the most well-known figures when it comes to America’s history with African American rights and the Underground Railroad, during this achievement, she completed nineteen trips to the South and escorted over 300 slaves to freedom (Harriet 1).
