Is the weather becoming harsher every day? It seems that hurricanes, snow storms, fires, and earthquakes are becoming more frequent and more dangerous. In the CNN article “3 storms, 3 responses: Comparing Harvey, Irma, and Maria” by Eric Levenson. The CNN article explains how Puerto Rico, Texas, and Florida had been hit by several different hurricanes relatively around the same time. It also explains how hurricane Harvey had caused mass floodings in Texas, hurricane Irma had deadly storm surges in Florida, and hurricane Maria had catastrophic winds in Puerto Rico ( Levenson). The CNN article also states how the recovery efforts for Puerto Rico were different than Texas and Florida( Levenson).
Hurricanes are also moving up farther to the north hitting Ireland. In another CNN article “Ireland on Lockdown after Former Hurricane Ophelia Makes Landfall.” by Susannah Cullinane it explains how Ireland is preparing for a hurricane. The hurricane had apparently claimed the lives of three people. The hurricane had cause strong winds, heavy rain, storm surges, and flooding. Hurricane Ophelia is the sixth major hurricane to hit Ireland.

Also, according to the article it hasn’t snowed in New York City like this since the 1880’s. Another instance of snow was according to The Weather Channel, an article called Winter Storm Xanto, a Plains Blizzard, Major Upper Midwest Snowstorm, and a Snowy, Icy Mess from the Great Lakes to Northern New England ” explained how in the upper midwest when the areas like the great leaks. The snow had hit the great lakes area in April. This was the first time that the month of April got a record-breaking amount of snow with 15.8 inches of
