In the documentary Egypt’s lost queen, archeologists uncover the secrets behind Hatshepsut’s life. For instance, cause of death, why she was removed from history and where her mummy was hidden. Through the documentary, we follow several teams that tries independently to uncover some secrets. From finding the mummy, they could find the cause of her death and assure her identity. From searching for her reign through ruined monuments and old carvings they uncovered why she was erased from existence.

Queen and Pharaoh Hatshepsut was the longest reign female Pharaoh ever and ruled for 20 years in the 15th century B.C, or in other words, the 18th dynasty. She is considered as one of the most successful pharaohs ever in history, and she even surpassed her father Thutmose I. She is considered successful by different factors. She was one of the few who can be called a woman pharaoh and she earned the title one of the most successful paharohs by her ambition and strength. Before finding out the real truth behind her death, many historians/archeologist speculated that she was murdered or disliked. Firstly because she was a woman, and took it upon herself to be pharaoh. Secondly, also speculated she had a love affair with her architect who was a commoner not a royal. Thirdly, speculated that she had a rocky relationship with Thutmose III, because he was originally the heir and was supposed to rule with the queen regent until he came off age. At last, that she trained/taught her daughter to become a pharaoh, and because she was not a man or successor to the throne, people thought it was
