I’m sitting on the beach, watching the sunset, listening to waves crashing on the beach, tasting the delicious garlic lemon butter shrimp. If I could visit any place in the world, I would definitely visit Hawai’i. I would love to visit the beautiful islands. There are 8 main islands, all on my list of islands to visit, but I also want to visit the smaller islands. Exploring and adventuring ocean is on my bucket list, and the best place to do that would be on an island, like Hawai’i. I want to try the food in Hawai’i, like traditional poi, which is made of the root of a taro plant. There are many reasons why I want to go to Hawai’i, but these are just a few.
I would love to visit all of the islands of Hawai’i. There are eight main islands in Hawai’i, but also a few smaller ones. The island of Hawai’i is the largest island, hence the nickname “The Big Island”. I plan to go to Hawai’i one day, visit all of the islands, and learn something that makes each one unique. One food I am super excited to try is garlic lemon butter shrimp, especially from Big T’s shrimp truck.Taylor “Big T” Wily plays a character, Kamekona Tupuola, in my all-time favourite show Hawai’i Five-O. Kamekona owns a shrimp truck, Kamekona’s, and Taylor decided to own a real shrimp truck, Big T’s. Poi is a very traditional Hawaiian food that I would like to try. It is made by puréeing the root of a taro plant and mixing it with some other ingredients. I love pineapples, which are hala kahiki in Hawaiian, but I would like to have one fresh from a pineapple farm, or garden. The only downside is that they take two years to grow. My friend Ella told me how she planted pineapples when she lived in Hawai’i. She cut off the tops, buried them, and treated them like a plant. The food in Hawai’i seem delicious, I can’t wait to try
