Most military families face any number of difficulties with a family member being deployed. This typical includes many emotional periods that are expected when losing someone for a while. It typically starts with fear or anger after the person finds out that they are being deployed. But, as the time for deployment comes closer, a family member might start to be more detached or withdrawn from them. This is usually how someone deals with the person being physically gone.
