Healthy School Lunches
Image walking into a school with all healthy lunches, and every kid looks happy because of their success in the classroom. That would be the next big thing for America. Providing healthier school lunches does not guarantee that it will help kids performance in the classroom, but it doesn't hurt the percent of them doing worse in the classroom. In the past five years, school lunches have become more nutritional. Michelle Obama started Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act. Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act provided more nutritional benefits for the kids by having less fat and less sodium in their lunches. It is still under her system today. President Trump wants to create his new version that is similar but a little bit better. He also says that his lunches will be cheaper than what they are right now. The main reason he wants to make it cheaper is because of all the budget cuts in the system. Although lunches have gotten better, there is still a lot to improve on. We must

Although he has made a few changes they weren't so good for the kids, there are still a lot of changes to be made. Some of the changes he made is adding more surgery milk, fewer whole grains and adding an extra three hundred milligrams of salt. As the Trump administration says they have created a more relaxed version of the Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act. “It doesn't do any good to serve nutritious meals if they wind up in the trash can”( Perdue said.) There is another form of school lunches that help out besides Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act. It is called National school lunch program provides low cost or free lunches to kids who need it. Federal money is helping low income families provide free lunches. This program had a great impact according to (David Paige.)
