EXP 105 Final Assignments. Learning Threw The Eyes of Matthew Heim
Learning? You have been doing that your entire life right? Or at least now that you are reading this to yourself you are thinking back on life and hoping that learning is what you have been doing this entire time you have been on this planet. So could there really be a right or wrong way to learn? Or is it just if you gain a little piece of knowledge from it, it is learning because you gained something? The real question is if there is a right or wrong way to learn. Although it will be different for everyone there is a right and a very wrong way to learn. With learning you need to decide and figure out what learning style you are and max that then figure out how and when you should flex your learning or adapt it to a different style depending on the task at hand. If I had to break down how I am as a learner I would be what they call a strong willed learner. Now there is 4 categories that make up this strong willed learning mindset and mine are as followed with scores in each. Technical (33), Precise (28), Sequence (25) and Confluent (25), I use my Technical learning by the love of taking things about just to see how they would or how I could make them better for the next person. I use my Precise learning pattern by always asking a lot of questions to ensure I understand the task at hand. Then making my check list to make sure I don’t miss a single thing on that mission or just on that day. I use my sequence by always setting a goal and achieving it. If I don’t have conformation that I have done it successful I will keep improving it until it is 100 percent. I use my confluent learning pattern by not liking or doing the same thing over and over. That helps me to make sure it is done 100 percent correctly the first time so I will not have to go back and re-do anything. After this class and knowing a stronger outline of my learning patterns I will be able to tackle my work and life with a completely different outlook and I believe that will help me be even more successful then where I am now. During this course there were some ups and some downs. I would like to think many more ups then there were downs. I used all of my learning patterns threw out this entire class but for me I think I really maximized my Technical and Precise learning patterns.
