Not many business owners in that time paid their workers very well; thus making it hard to keep them. Ford did not use people for his billion dollar industry today, which is something I admire. Amazingly enough, his contributions to society and the common people does not stop there. According to www.philanthropyroundtable.org, Henry Ford gave away a third of his wealth for the people; another key point is his industry is worth $199 billion dollars today, meaning he gave nearly $66 billion dollars to the public. In addition to his good deeds, he did not blow his money like a typical billionaire might. His family lived in a nice house; however, it was not as big and grand as it could have been. Even in his richest days, he was still modest about his wealth. Henry Ford died on April 7th, 1947 at the ripe, old age of 83; correspondingly, he left a legacy behind him. He was known as the man who brought us the first affordable vehicle, steady wages, and the Ford company many people enjoy today. He left his mark in history, which was a charitable mark. I believe Henry Ford was one of the best Captains of Industry; and he could stomp out any Robber Baron any
