Herbal medicine, also known as medicinal herbs, was very popular during wars ranging from the 19th century and previous centuries where many injuries or minor side effects occurred. For example, during the 19th century, more specifically during the Revolutionary War period (1775- 1783), herbal medicine was heavily used, since medical knowledge and the lack of medical supplies were not well known. This was the period when American patriots fought for independence and rights from Britain. This led to a lot of injuries as well as diseases such as malaria and respiratory issues.
