Hermina and Helena from Midsummer night´s dream are the first ones, who decide to change their faith. Hermina has to have a big courage to ignore decision of her father and Theseus.

Wright, Mrs. Hale and Mrs. Peters from Trifles. First one stands up against her dominant husband. Initially, she tries to do her best for him and she was a really good wife, but his behaviour was not acceptable. Probably at that time she could not find any other way how to escape from such situation. Anyway, it requires a lot of courage to do so.
Mrs. Hale and Mrs. Peters are also women who have their “right” place – in the kitchen. Their husbands often make fun of them that their role as wives is not as significant as their husband.
Specifically, when Mr. Hale says that: women are used to worrying over trifles. Important point is also when Mrs. Peters tells “But, Mrs. Hale, the law is the law.” They find an evidence of Mrs. Wright´s guilt and they are not sure whether to tell the new information to men or not. Mrs. Peters feels obliged and kind of responsible as she is wife of sheriff, thus at first she wants to betray the secret. However, finally she decides to protect Mrs. Wright. This is also type of women´s strength they had to expand to stand up against their husbands.
All in all, we may say that although men are dominant in these plays, women have still strength not to give in. In fact, they try to find how to deal with their destiny in their own
