Hi Grace, The Joy Luck Club is an amazing film. I agree that one of the most meaningful parts of the movie were the mothers lives in china but I also think this movie had so many other meaningful messages it’s hard to choose just one. The struggle the mothers went through in china versus their lives in America was inspiring to watch. Do you think the daughters would have respected their mothers more growing up if they knew about their hardships in China?
