Although your discussion post was really good, I have to dissagre with you on two things. The first one being not telling the father. I would notify the father and let him know what is happening. Every parent wants to know what is happening in their childs life and that is a huge thing. I understand why you said not to tell Mary's father but dont you think that it would be alot worst if he didnt know? The second one would have to be telling Mary's mom that she is being a 'Helecopter Parent' no parent wants to hear that from their childs teacher. Also even though you are doing it to benefit Mary's developmentl growth, it will hurt her mom. How would you feel if you were in her possition and your childs teacher said you are a 'Helecopter
