Knowing there would be alcohol and drugs involved, I denied the invitation. From that day forward, I was mistreated by the girls I once called my sisters. Their popularity grew as there were more and more rumors spread about me. Besides all that Junior year came along as I attended Waipahu high school the opportunities were endless early college, preparation for the ACT and SAT, Academy of Health and Science, and mock interviews.
Although in the beginning knowing that I don’t know anyone at Waipahu it would be a challenge to fit in but it turned out to be the total opposite I began building relationships with people who were just as academically driven as me. My true identity was unraveling in front my eyes, it taught me a lot about the person that I am. These experiences brought out the leader I am because although my friends wanted to make bad decisions I didn’t follow
