The Hippocratic Oath is a two part oath expressing the teachings of Hippocrates. It expresses that commitments made by physicians and their apprentices and establish teachings as a primary responsibility of a medical professional. The second part of the oath expresses the summary of ethical guidelines. The Nightingale Pledge is a statement of ethics and principles as well as a promise to treat wherever need be and whenever needed.
