“There is the solitude of suffering when you go through darkness that is lonely, intense, and terrible. Words become powerless to express your pain.” Through suffering we learn from our past to grow our communities in the spirit of a hopeful future by having courage and survival.
In the book Hiroshima by John Hersey, having courage pushes you to help others in a time of need while you are in pain yourself, “The first task is to help as many people as possible-to save as many lives as possible.” while everyone is frantically running around they are still trying to help their people in the time of need. Most people had no clothes, had cuts and bruises maybe even broken bones, but they forgot all of that to save as many people that they could.
