As described in the previous slides, it is concluded that Cuba is both Hispanic, because they are a Spanish speaking island and Latino, because they are located in the Caribbean which forms part of Latin America.
The following slides, will contain more in depth information for both Hispanic and Latino Americans in order to understand their cultural views.
Hispanic and Latinos culture comes from Southern Europe; which main values are mostly guided by Catholic Christianity. African culture also shapes Hispanic and Latinos values. When it comes to Hispanic and Latinos culture, family is of great importance, and they do not limit to the nucleus family, which means that they see as immediate family, aunts, cousins, close friends and even neighbors, these behaviors are mostly referring as “Familismo”, where they count and support each other. A family member who plays an important role, are the grandparents, they are the anchor of the family, their age, wisdom and experiences, serve as guidance and example to how to raise the younger generations, especially grandchildren, as these children when grow up are expected to take care of their elders.

They rely on friends, and families to stick together and help each other. For example, if one family member is admitted to the hospital, the other family members take turns in order to keep the patient company, so they do not feel alone, or abandon. Or If they have an important event they go accompanied, even if it is for emotional support.
