Brief
Produce a PowerPoint researching the work of two artists and produce a painting or drawing as a final piece.
Learning outcomes:

Week 1: Research collect an example of the colour wheel – as an extension find examples that explain secondary colour mixing

Week 2: Research the work of Howard Hodgkin, who is he? What does he do? Collect good quality examples of his work.

Week 3: Collect a wide variety of images of painting techniques and list there qualities –techniques? Look at detailed and Abstract styles

Week 4: Research the paintings of Georgia O’Keefe, who is she? What does she do? Collect good quality examples of her work.

Ensure all 6 weeks work is saved on one PowerPoint and labelled, then uploaded to Fronter

Week 5: Evaluate list the similarities and differences between the work of O’Keefe and Hodgkin

Week 6: Produce a colour pencil / pen drawing or best a painting of one of O’Keefe’s paintings.

Art Project Levels:
Level 4:
Pupils use a variety of approaches to explore and experiment with ideas, information and resources in order to develop their intentions. They investigate and develop a range of practical skills and use the qualities of materials and processes purposefully to suit their intentions when designing and making. They compare and comment on differing ideas, methods and approaches used by artists, craftspeople and designers, relating these to the contexts in which the work was made. They discuss their own work and that of others and consider how they might adapt and refine their ideas, skills and processes. Level 5:
Pupils take some creative risks when exploring, experimenting and responding to ideas and selecting information and resources in order to develop their work. When designing and making, they develop and use their technical knowledge and skills to manipulate the qualities of materials, processes and the formal elements appropriately. They consider and
