World War 2 had the most casualties than any other war we have ever been in. Whether that be casualties of war or civilian lives, World War 2 was the most detrimental war we have ever had. United States had 407,000 americans die that fought for their country. 12,000 civilians that died due to military activity and crimes against humanity. That is 419,000 Americans that died during 6 years of war and 2 years of us not even being involved in the war. The British lost 2,600 in combat and 250,000 civilians due to military activity and crimes against humanity, there total number of lives is 252,600.
