Gad Saad talks about how “twenty years ago, the typical MBA program took two years of full-time studies to complete, with students taking five or six courses per term (for four terms)” (Saad, 2012, p. 357). He also says, “Most programs now offer a one year accelerated program, which is mean to reflect the “fast pace new market realities” (Saad, 2012, p. 357). Over those twenty years that probably is true that students are able to complete a program in less time but that doesn't mean it is not a credible degree. The curriculum has changed a lot over the years so they may have taken away courses that were not needed anymore. Gad Saad talking about how taking the fast paced curriculum is not as good as it use to be when it took two years to complete is not effective. It may be faster now-a-days when trying to graduate in the MBA program but it does not mean it is not credible. Using the one year accelerated program as an example as to why student car treated like customers is ineffective. It is a good point to bring up; however, as stated above, the curriculum is constantly improving and technology is advancing. Things have changed over the past twenty years and it has been for the better. Having the option to graduate in the MBA program is just a year is a great opportunity for those who are willing to take it. It is not required that they choose that path, it is just a personal
