Bree and Hailey Hollinsworth, aged 22 and 24, grew up on a farm in Thunder Bay, Ontario, have always have concerns on the environment and sustainable fashion. They founded Ungalli, a clothing brand that only manufacture clothes made from 100% recycled materials. What are they doing to make a difference? Bree and Hailey Hollinsworth recognized how the fast fashion industry has changed how people do with their clothes. Since most big fashion companies offer affordable new clothes very often, the rate of throwing out clothes has increased significantly over the decades. The companies are able to offer cheap products because they moved their factories overseas to developing countries, where workplace safety and fair wages are not implemented. It was overcame as they set up a pop up table at their local mall which allowed them to educate the shoppers and advertise their brand. Things have gone smooth as more and more people knew about the causes and supported them and the earth by purchasing the clean alternative apparels. The Hollinsworth sisters were chosen for The Quest Climate Change $50,000 Grant by Canadian Geographic and they used the grant for better and closer to home clothes production. They story has been shared on the websites which allows larger population to learn about it. Their current obstacles is that they hope to keep increase their sales online which can receive orders around the world but not strictly from us Canadians. As more people learned about the issues of fast fashion, the resistance on the products will increase while the production of it will decrease. Therefore, the earth can take a breath from all the pollutions as well as the animals living in natural
