What do two events in different time periods have in common? The Salem Witch Trials and the Holocaust are both events in which people died from false accusations. People were tortured and killed for their religious beliefs. In Salem Massachusetts, during the 17th century, the hunts for witches became and started in the 1300-1330’s ( Salem Witch Trials) . 100,000 people in this city is falsely accused of being a witch or practicing witchcraft ( Wallenfeldt) . Witches were considered to be followers of Satan and this became a very big hysteria (Wallenfeldt) . The ways the Salem Witch Trials and the Holocaust are alike is the events both like to torture a religion or a odd person out of there way to continue their wrongdoing (Salem Witch Trials) . Another thing the events have in common is people were accused of things they may not have done including being jewish,being a homosexual, or believing in witches.
