Honoring fallen soldiers is a way to show our respect and thanks to those who sacrificed themselves in service of our country. People show their honor to Fallen Soldiers in many different ways, one of these ways is to visit their grave/ memorial site to offer flowers, flags, or other tributes. Visiting someone's grave or memorial site can be a way to show respect because it acknowledges their life, by taking the time to pay your respects you are also recognizing their life and legacy of the person who passed. Visiting their graves is also an expression of sympathy, visiting and leaving a flower or flag can have a sense of comfort and sympathy to the loved ones of the soldier who passed, and it shows that you want to support them throughout the grieving process. These parades are on days such as Memorial Day, or Veterans Day. Active service members often participate in these parades, marching in formation, wearing their uniform and carrying flags and or banners representing their branch in the military. These parades also include military vehicles such as jeeps and other armored carriers to represent the tools used by the service members. These parades symbolize gratitude for their service and provide an opportunity for communities to come together and show their respect for the deceased and their family members.
