The proliferation of hookup apps like Tinder and Hot or Not really epitomizes the fact that we live in a hookup culture. In a society with instant access to information and “restaurants” where food is classified as “fast”, it is not surprising that a hookup culture has arisen. In the 1930s when “Marty” took place, society did not have this instant access to information. It was a time where courting a female, marrying said female then having kids with said female was the goal of the majority of young men.This led to it being the norm.
