This article was about a college student names Hope Wabuke. Hope talked about her high school and college experiences. Hope got accepted to a predominately white institution, where she encountered many stereotypes about the African American community. Stereotypes like “not being black enough” because hope did not know how to dance, being told that she was an “Oreo” because she liked to read books, she played tennis instead of basketball, was a vegetarian, played in her school’s orchestra and got straight A’s.
