Re: Best-Vet: Analysis and Potential Improvement Suggestions
This memorandum provides a brief review, analysis, and a few suggestions for improvement on the subject of the brochure from Matrix Therapy Products. The brochure highlights Best-Vet; a new microcurrent therapy device, to be used to treat horses.
Matrix Therapy Products
In viewing the brochure regarding the Best-Vet microcurrent therapy device, I have concluded that the primary audience for this document would be horse owners who have horses that require healing. Or a secondary audience may be caretakers who treat injured horses. It is apparent who the audience is for this document, with the prominent pictures of the woman treating the horse it obviously shows that this device is intended for home use on treating horses.
The main purpose for this document is to inform readers of a new therapy device intended for the use on injured horses. The document clearly lists the multiple benefits from using the device. It states what training is required for operation of the Best-Vet. The document plainly lays out the specs and obviously states what is included in the basic kit.
This brochure is used to be informative and clarify what the benefits from using the Best-Vet are. A potential client may pick this up at their local feed store, and give it a quick look over. With the clear pictures and explanation it will be clear to the client what is being sold. I think the brochure is a good design to present the data. This way it is in an easy to read format, for a client to quickly skim. With a horse owner being interested in caring for their animals, they will be drawn in by the pictures and then read the descriptions to find out more.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Strengths
* The document is easy to read, with the bullet points and boxed areas it makes clear what is important, and it is quite informative. Due to the main audience being horse owners rather than a veterinarian, the brochure targets the specific audience by using straightforward terminology and easy to see pictures.
* The brochure layout shows clearly that the Best-Vet is being advertised. From the pictures, viewers can visibly see the device, along with pictures of the Best-Vet in use. By showing images of the device in use, the audience can see how user friendly the Best-Vet is, and how it can simply be used for home use.
Weaknesses * The document does not state how frequent the treatment needs to be done in order to see results. I think that it would be helpful if they had some clear facts on the long term results of using the Best-Vet. This way the audience can feel more confident in the product. * With the device being FDA approved, the document should clearly show the approval rather than placing on the bottom of the page in the same format as everything else. A horse owner, who is treating an ill animal, would want to ensure that the product they are using is safe. * When reading through the brochure I noticed that the headings of each section are not much different than the text below, making it uninteresting to read. When a potential client skims through the brochure, we want to make sure that they see what is most important, and that they see it clearly. * I also noticed that the brochure leaves out the cost of this device. As a potential client, it is important to know the cost of the Best-Vet. Readers are unaware how much the device will cost them, it is also unknown if it is an item you purchase or just rent. With the price listed on the brochure it will also narrow our audience into clients who can afford the device.
Potential Improvement Suggestions
After reading the brochure about Matrix Therapy Products’ Best-Vet, I think it would be beneficial to make minor changes in the content, layout, and overall
