After taking the Ambivalent Sexism Inventory, my views and thoughts have changed on what I thought I knew about sexism and feminism. Hostile sexism is the negative feelings towards women. For example, this type of sexism can be seen by the pay gap. On average, women earn twenty cents or less per dollar that is made by a male. If you encourage the pay gap because you believe that women are less deserving of equal pay due to their gender, then you would be the hostile type of sexism. This is due to your stance because you believe that women are not worthy and less deserving to equal pay which leads to negative feelings against women and that deludes into the hostile sexism.
