First of all, I am the Chief Financial Officer and a chair of the Senior Management of the Windermere Marketing Group. My role requires me to be very tentative and on top of things. In addition, I have to be very organized as I’m record keeping a lot of important financial documents, organizing inventories and audits as well as department bonding events. This role also gives me the responsibility of managing and overseeing a department. Also, as CFO, I have a prominent presence within my school community as WMG is very prominent in my school and being one of only 4 chiefs, I have one of the most visible positions. It gives me connections to not only my grade, but the ones below me, perfect for recruiting HPI volunteers and club members.
I am also the Co-Chair of Windermere Create Change, a branch of the Create Change Foundation. Our mission is to gain awareness and fundraise money to give girls in Ghana the opportunity to receive an education. BIA. This is an organization that strives to service local businesses in the Collingwood area. I connect the board members together and keep them up to date with their tasks. The most important component of my role are my meeting minutes. It’s crucial that I properly communicate the contents of the meetings. Another example of me using my interpersonal skills are my work done as a member of the YWCA Promotions Committee.
