Bullying occurs all over the world, no matter where you are. Bullying is a physical and, or verbal harassment of others, which is caused by an imbalance of power distributed among people. Bullies can bully others through the imbalance of power, through an increase in popularity, physical strength, access to embarrassing information about others, starting rumors about others, or making fun of their race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation. Bullying can affect everyone in the act of bullying. Bullying can affect everyone from the bully themselves, the people being bullied, or even a bystander watching the bullying the occur.

Bystanders are innocent people present during the bullying. Bystanders feel as though they should not involve him or herself or intervene in the bullying.
