The petitioner Beys Afroyim was from Poland and he immigrated to the United States when he was nineteen years old in 1912. Afroyim became a naturalized U.S. citizen after fourteen years in 1926. He went to Israel in 1950 and he willingly voted in a foreign election in 1951 at Israel.
