In 327 BCE, he invaded India. Porus, the Indian king, was eventually defeated after a tough battle. Alexander then returned home after his army refused to fight anymore because of all of the soldier that had died and were wounded. However, on the way home, the army still continued to fight in the Indus River valley. Alexander almost died because he was so badly wounded. He made it home to his empire in 324 BCE.
