After the British won the 7 years war, the First Nations got furious because most of their land was taken away by the British. The courageous Chief Pontiac made allies of the First Nations and decided to attack the British forts to get their land back. The first attack was held at Fort Michilimackinac. Fort Michilimackinac created a great alliance between First Nation groups. The attack on Fort Michilimackinac also, made the British realize they must make peace so all they’ve achieved during the 7 years war wouldn’t decay away.
