Franklin D. Roosevelt was the 32nd president of the United States. He served his term from March 4, 1933 to April 12, 1945 when he collapsed and died in office. Roosevelt was the only president to serve the longest term in the United States. He was in the democratic party.
Franklin D. Roosevelt was seemed to be a successful president. Roosevelt did serve longer than any other president. In his presidency Roosevelt did accomplish a lot like for example he established a national minimum wage through the Fair Labor Standards Act which provided subsidies to local public housing agencies to improve living conditions for low-income families. He was a success to many Americans for all that he did. He was very popular during his presidency.
Some key domestic policy issues during his presidency were that Roosevelt created the “New Deal” in his first 100 days of his presidency. It was organized to help America recover from the depression. Along with the “New Deal” consisted of the 3 R’s which are Relief, Recovery, and Reform. Relief was aimed at providing temporary help to suffering and unemployed …show more content…
