Georges Braque was a French artist (1882-1963). The studio is the place Braque built in 1931 at Varengeville. In 1939, Braque painted the interiors of his studio. Some things are recognizable as the base with the flowers, the window, and the chair. But also some things are not as they have weird shapes.
Braque painted the view in his studio. He put emphasis on the objects of his studio. Most of them have organic shapes. The light from the window illuminates the room. It seems as he combined real with imagined things.
