Jackie Robinson was in the United states Army as a second lieutenant in 1942 to 1944, he never saw combat, but he was arrested and court-martialed for not giving up his seat in a bus. Many people started targeting Jackie by his career and his life, they want him to leave, they wanted him dead. He didn’t care to listen he went on with his career and helped the Dodgers win the championship.
After he played for the Dodgers he went on to help other sports teams to break the color barrier. He wanted all blacks the right to play any white man sport. White’s have kept blacks out of sports for over 60 year. But since Jackie Robinson kept the civil rights movement intact for blacks play white man sports. Talking about him helping blacks to play white man sports it shows that he wanted them to play, later on in his life he got what he wanted.
