John Locke (1632-1704) was an English philosopher Known as the “Father of Liberalism” and recognized as the founder of British empiricism. He was influenced by Thomas Hobbes, Rene Descartes, Aristotle, Plato, and some more. His most important contributions to education were An Essay Concerning Human Understanding and Tabula Rasa.
