When Joseph-Armand Bombardier was 15, he fiddled with a sewing machine that his grandma gave him and eventually made a simple steam machine. He was very determined to invent things. Later in life, he fiddled with a Model T Ford engine which his father attached to an old sled equipped with a propeller. Placing his brother Leopold in front with ropes and steering, the smart Bombardiers proudly drove their invention out of the workshop. Their father demolished it because of safety worriment.
