When it comes to Jazz, Miles Dewey Davis III is exceptionally well known. He was an influential American jazz, trumpeter, musician, and composer for the 20th century. In Alton, Illinois on May 26, 1926, Davis was born. Encouraged by his mother and father as he grew up he gained substantial interest in music. When Davis turned sixteen years old he became a part of the music society, while attending school, and playing his instrument locally and professionally at an Elks Club. At the age of seventeen, Davis got invited by Dizzy Gillespie and Charlie Parker to join them when they recognized that they wanted a trumpet player to replace a member that couldn’t no longer be a part of their band. They wanted Davis to join them on stage. In-between
