During 1919-1939, there was a time period called the inter-war. An inter-war was during the period between World War I and World War II. During this time, Europe was struggling to recover from the destruction of World War I and undermining properties of the damage of many other monarchies. There were many artists who apprehended the inter-war period. One of the many artists was Pablo Picasso.
The inter-war period concluded with an outstanding treatment of Guernica. One of Pablo Picasso’s artwork, Guernica, is known for one of the greatest paintings of the Twentieth Century. In his artwork for Guernica, the color arrangement is black, gray and white. Picasso used dark and very bland colors to express a much muted mood
