Peter Doubek is a 1983 Alpena High school Graduate, as well days has a science teacher in the very school he graduated from so many years ago. In that high school on Friday May 11, he was asked about the many changes that have occured.
When Mr. Doubek was asked what he would change in today’s schools he stated, “I have this weird philosophy. We should give good kids more attention.” he paused, “15% of students said they resist learning. 15% said they can’t learn, and there could be something done for them, but the students who resist learning should go and do something else. We should spend time with kids who are trying to learn, and you’d get better results.”
