Our nation has been a home to some of the most remarkable people of all time, has become a better country because of their actions, and honours their amazing accomplishments that have influenced our Canadian identity. One of the greatest Canadians, in my opinion, was former Prime Minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau, a man whose actions were recognized, impactful, and remembered based on how he brought multiculturalism, bilingualism, and a new Charter of Rights and Freedoms to Canada’s Constitution.
Firstly, Pierre Trudeau's actions as Prime Minister immediately began to gain attention because of his belief if unity among the nation, a belief that contradicted those of his colleagues who supported the idea of Quebec becoming independent
