On the 6th of August 1915, The battle of Lone Pine was against Australia and the Ottoman Empire which is present Turkey. The attack was lead by Sir Harold Walker, who was a British general who led Australia to victory. The battle was part of a plan which was to misleading attack which was to draw the Turkish away from the main assaults of Sari Bair, Chunuk Bair and Hill 971 which were Battles to seize control of the Gallipoli point from the Turkish Empire during the First World War. Six Australian divisions suffered with nearly 2,300 killed and wounded at the battle of Lone Pine.
